WEEK 8 - Final Reflection
As I reflect on the completion of the "Digitally Competent Educators" course, the journey has been nothing short of transformative, shaping my understanding and practice as an educator. This resonates deeply with my commitment to staying abreast of contemporary educational trends and actively contributing to the evolution of assessment methods in our digital age.
The tasks assigned throughout the course were like stepping stones, each revealing new facets of digital competence. From my initial introduction, where I shared my aspirations, to the creation of the e-portfolio and exploration of digital assessment strategies, each step was a moment of growth. The emphasis on analyzing evidence of progress, crafting meaningful feedback, and the responsible use of digital tools left an indelible mark on my approach to teaching.
The valuable resources from UNESCO. reinforced my understanding of the crucial role of these competencies in the 21st century. Furthermore, reflecting on the document "Digital Literacy Across the Curriculum" underscored the need to integrate digital literacy into my teaching practices, a commitment that resonates deeply with my vision for education.
Having the opportunity to share ideas, knowledge and work with colleagues was a very positive point during this time, which helped me a lot in the development of a digital scenario. This hands-on experience allowed me to bridge theory with practice, solidifying my belief in the necessity of a seamless transition to an "ONLIFE" educational system.
In essence, these objectives were not mere checkboxes but guiding stars, illuminating a path of meaningful and practical learning. I am grateful for the dedicated attention and mentorship throughout this course and the valuable contribution, ideas and humanity of my group colleagues in the common tasks. As I look ahead, I am excited about applying these newfound insights and approaches in my teaching practice, contributing to the dynamic landscape of digital education.
